They can upload photos, enter growing-up metrics like height, and make status updates to record special moments in their children’s lives. This content shows up in the news feeds of those who have sharing privileges. 23Snaps solves the problem of oversharing, which often happens when parents become overzealous in their posting on places like Facebook. Of course, we all agree that your two-year-old is nothing short of adorable when he wears his bowl of spaghetti on his head like a hat, but do we really need to see 50 photos of it in our News Feed? Now, parents can share as much as they want to on 23Snaps, where only those people most interested in your childrens’ antics can enjoy it. As someone who is smack-dab in the middle of life before and after kids, I can see the value in an app like 23Snaps. A couple of years ago, I grew tired of my Facebook feed looking like a Sesame Street reel, but now that my husband and I are preparing to become parents ourselves, I truly enjoy getting a glimpse of life with kids via my friends’ Facebook posts. Of course, my younger friends might still enjoy surfing pictures of exotic trips and wild nights out, rather than play dates and wild nights – in an entirely different context – in.
